TVHS Updates

As we all navigate the uncertainty of this extended school closure, I wanted to take a moment to provide some updates and reminders.  First, please continue to use the Twin Valley School District website as a resource for critical information and announcements.  The Coronavirus Notices page includes a list of frequently asked questions as well as a link to a list of optional engagement and enrichment resources. Recent updates to the frequently asked questions document include information about the cancellation of Pennsylvania’s Keystone Exams and an announcement from the College Board regarding Advanced Placement courses and exams.

For current 8th through 11th grade students, please continue to complete online course selection.  Detailed instructions can be accessed on the Course Selection 2020-2021 page.  High school counselors would like to remind students to use the grade-specific worksheets listed under the ‘Program of Studies’ link as a guide when selecting courses; please email your high school counselor with any questions about course selection.

Although the effects that the coronavirus will have on major events remains uncertain, planning continues for the high school prom that is currently scheduled for May 2.  Mrs. Donatelli posted a link to the registration form, which must be completed by 8 p.m. this Friday, March 27.  Junior and seniors can click here to access the form.

Planning continues for the 2020 Vallian, our school yearbook.  Yearbooks must be ordered by April 1 in order to guarantee the purchase. Additional quantities may be limited.  Orders can be places by visiting https://studentservicesco.com/

This Friday, March 27, is the final deadline to submit a senior quote for the yearbook. Students can complete the form that is posted to the Class of 2020 Google Classroom page. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Gatto.

In order to help shorten the distance between all of us during this time, the TVHS Student Council is sponsoring a Raiders at Home spirit week.  For each day, members of the Twin Valley community can post pictures, videos, or ideas on any social media platform with the hashtag #RaidersatHome for everyone to see. A list of each day’s theme is included on the @tvstuco and @twinvalleyhs twitter pages .

If you have any questions during this closure, please do not hesitate to reach out to high school administration.

Best wishes to all.
