Chapter 339

The future of school counseling depends on the successful implementation of comprehensive programs. School counselors must transform their roles and produce evidence of their impact on student success. School counselors are critical to successful efforts to close the achievement gap.  School counselors, by virtue of their training and skills, are poised to play key roles in addressing the educational challenges facing Pennsylvania students.

This plan was created through the collaborative effort of school counselors, principals and curriculum staff members at the Twin Valley School District. Feedback and input was gathered from key stakeholder groups including: students, educators, parents, school board members, business partners, post-secondary partners, Berks Career and Technology Center administrators
and experts from the Berks County Intermediate Unit.
