Casey Hoffman, TVSD Staff Member

#TeacherTuesday: Twin Valley is filled with incredible educators and staff members who are passionate about making our District a fantastic place to learn. We are thrilled to celebrate their achievements in this special series.

Congratulations to Casey Hoffman who has been designated as a Pennsylvania State Modern Language Association (PSMLA) Global Educator! This honor reflects the culture, environment, and priorities that Casey utilizes to recognize insight and forward-thinking in preparing students for success in today’s world while teaching foreign language across the District.

Casey has provided the opportunity for students to become PSMLA Scholars by spearheading implementation of the program at Twin Valley. Students can become PSMLA Global Scholars by taking four years of foreign language during their high school career. The program also requires volunteer work, conscious course selection, media reviews, internships, and extra-curricular activities; all of which Casey guides and mentors students through as PSMLA Global Educator.

Students who graduate as TVSD PSMLA Global Scholars may be more well-equipped to process, understand, and disseminate their knowledge of their chosen language. This experience serves as the basis for developing wider perspectives, which will be beneficial as they move forward in life, both personally and professionally. Thank you, Casey, for your dedication and commitment to this program!
