Homecoming 2024 will take place from Monday September 30 to Friday October 4. The homecoming pep rally and football game will be on Thursday October 3 and the homecoming dance will be held on Friday October 4. Students can find out more details about Homecoming and the HOCOlympics grade competition on Instagram by following Student Council @tvstuco Here is some of the most important information for students and families to know:
· Students are encouraged to dress up for each spirit day so that they can post pictures in their Schoology grade group for HOCOlympics points and earn prizes on Instagram.
· There will be spirit challenges each day that students can complete to earn more points for their grade.
· Students will be able to purchase homecoming t-shirts to wear on Friday October 4. Each grade will have their own team shirt with their team colors. Shirts cost $13 and can be purchased at lunches or in Room 300 during Block 1 during homecoming week.
· The pep rally will be on Thursday October 3 during Block 4. Students interested in participating in pep rally games should check their Schoology Grade Groups for a sign-up form soon.
· The homecoming football game is Thursday October 3 at 6:00 PM and the student section theme is White Out.
· Tickets for the homecoming dance will be sold at all lunches on Monday September 30, Tuesday October 1, and Wednesday October 2. Tickets will also be sold in the main lobby/office area from 7:30 to 8:00 AM on Tuesday October 1 and Wednesday October 2. Students who know they will not be able to buy tickets during these assigned times must email studentcouncil@tvsd.info before September 30. All ticket sales must be completed with cash or check made out to “TVHS Student Council” and no late tickets will be sold.
· Any student who wishes to bring a guest who is not currently a TVHS student to the homecoming dance must complete the dance guest pass. Dance guest passes have been posted in Schoology grade groups and are also available in the office. These forms must be completed and submitted to the main office by 9:00 AM on Monday September 30. No late guest passes will be accepted.
· The dance will take place in the high school cafeteria on Friday October 4 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Students must be present in school that day in order to attend the dance. Students and guests are required to follow all regulations printed on their tickets and must also follow all school rules as outlined in the student handbook. Breathalyzers will be used at the dance.
We hope our students are excited to spend the week celebrating Twin Valley through these initiatives and events, and we encourage everyone to root on the football team on Thursday October 3 as they take on Donegal Senior High School. The homecoming court will be introduced prior to the start of the game and the homecoming king and queen will be crowned during the halftime show.
