Career and Technical Education (CTE) offers students the opportunity to develop critical skills through a combination of classes and hands-on learning experiences, which allow them to apply academics to real-world problems.  With course selection for the 2024-2025 school year taking place in February, this is a good time for students to consider applying for admission to a Career and Technical Education Center (CTC).

TVHS students who reside in Berks County are invited to apply to the Berks Career and Technical Center (BCTC) and those who reside in Chester County are invited to apply to the Technical College High School's Brandywine Campus (TCHS-B).  A program will be held for all 9th graders on Tuesday, October 1st to introduce their CTC options and invite them to sign up for a field trip to tour the facility.

In addition to the field trips during the school day, BCTC is holding evening open houses at its West Campus on Tuesday, November 12, and its East Campus on Wednesday, November 13. Please visit https://berkscareer.com/openhouse/ for more information. TCHS-B is holding an open house on Thursday, December 5, and a virtual tour of TCHS-B can be accessed at any time by visiting https://www.cciu.org/domain/327.  Please visit https://www.cciu.org/tchsbrandywine for more information.

If you have any questions about applying to a CTC, please contact your student's high school counselor.
